The history of the bicycle dates back to the early 19th century, when Baron Karl Drais von Sauerbronn invented a precursor to the modern bicycle known as the "treadmill" in 1817. This ingenious device consisted of a wooden frame with two wheels. and a handlebar, allowing users to propel themselves with their feet on the ground.
